You are now and old geezer because you going to work

Some of you people of you (sure only 1%) know that I now at my first step at the working life. I’m old. My employer is the “Deutsche Telekom AG”.

It’s big company that offers many things like High-speed Internet, telephone and everything that can communicate. So it’s a modern company. And now I’m one of them. I’m a trainee at IT-System electrician (German: IT-Systemelektroniker).

The first week:
Everything started with the Monday the 31.8.2009. We had to meet near Stuttgart. It was a welcome to us new trainee. It was quite easy going. The trainee band, they called “Telekom Azubi Band”. They have good voice, but sometimes I had to think about K-On. Don’t know why exactly. After two hours I left the party and went home. Of course I forgot to bring my In-ears headphones. On the way without music is just bad.

The second day:
Now we had to meet us at the Trainee Center of Böblingen. After searching for the building (I can’t read maps well), I found myself in the building with the other new fresh people. It were many people and not only for the same job. And from different countries too. After the little introduction our trainer showed and say ed the first important things. Of course in the lunch break we went together to eat something. Of course Chinese Food. Why not.
Later we continued the rest of the stuff.

The third day:
This day was somehow… BLAH!
All day long sign and read contracts. About what to do if there is an fire or Data security of Customers. Really, we needed all the day. One more contract and I went crazy there!

The 4th and 5th day:
We went to Altburg to know each other better. We stayed there for one night. of course the food, sleep and drink was free of charge. So everyone was eating like there is no tomorrow and the the food taste quite good.
We had to play some mini games, to know how important a team is. What we can do to do it better and all those things. And we had to make a mascot that presents us.
Somehow we ended with an caterpillar oO

But I’m glad that I’m now at my home again. With my PC and the other stuff.
But nice people. Sometimes a bit like wtf, but still nice (including chef and other staff member).

Next week we will be at the same building to learn the PC programs that we are going to use. Even from home.

And about Otaku stuff:
I should get soon my Code Geass R2 Box Vol. 1.
I already pre-ordered now Black Rock Shooter and Saber Lily GSC.
Can’t wait to have them here.

   You should have at least an Middleschool education (Realabschluss?) for this job.
   And some expericne about PC.

   Wow, nice. A Colleague!
   So im not the only one that chose that Job!

   Ich also learned that Job (”ITSE”), so I can tell you: Nice Choice! A little tough at the end (The Final Exam), but the rest is not bad! And especially if youre learning with “Telekom”.
   They have a good education for their apprentices, not like the company where i had learned… ( German Railway…”Deutsche Bahn”)

   So, have fun with your new Job! Enjoy it as long as possible!

   @hikki: Like GREW already said, Experience about PC would be good. Some knowledge about Current, Voltage, Resistance (Spannung, Strom, Widerstand) would also not be bad (Check out http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITSE for a little more info…a little ^_^).
